How to Cancel SASSA SRD R370 Grant Application?

How to Cancel SASSA SRD R370 Grant Application Online?

Before canceling, review the SRD grant eligibility criteria . If you are not eligible but are still receiving payments, you should cancel immediately. The online process is fast and convenient. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Open the SASSA SRD Website

  1. Use any device with internet access.
  2. Open your browser and go to: https://srd.sassa.gov.za/said

Step 2: Find the “Cancel My Application” Section

  1. Scroll through the page until you see “Cancel My Application.
  2. Under this, click the link that says “Click here to cancel online.

Step 3: Click on the Cancel Link

  1. Click the link.
  2. A new page will load asking for your information.

Step 4: Enter Your South African ID Number

  1. Type your 13-digit ID number carefully.
  2. Avoid spaces or extra digits. Accuracy is important.

Step 5: Enter Your Phone Number

  1. Type the 10-digit number you used for your SRD application.
  2. This must match the number linked to your grant.

Step 6: Request the OTP (One-Time PIN)

  1. Click “Send PIN.”
  2. SASSA will send an OTP to your phone.
  3. This step confirms your identity.

Step 7: Enter the OTP

  1. Check your SMS for the OTP.
  2. Enter it on the website and click “Verify.”

Step 8: Fill Out the Cancellation Form

  1. OAfter verification, the cancellation form will appear.
  2. This is where you officially request to cancel your SRD grant.

Step 9: Choose Your Reason for Cancellation

  1. Choose a reason from the list.
  2. Examples include getting a job or no longer needing financial help.

Step 10: Enter Your Personal Details

  1. Enter your full name as shown on your ID.
  2. Include a valid email for any follow-up from SASSA.

Step 11: Submit the Cancellation Request

  1. Review all information carefully.
  2. Click “Submit” to finalize your cancellation.

Step 12: Confirmation

  1. A message will appear on the screen confirming your cancellation.
  2. You may also get an SMS or email. Your application is now officially canceled.

Will I Get The Following Month’s Payment After Cancellation?

No. Once canceled, your details are removed from the SASSA payment system. You will not receive future payments, even if the cancellation happens mid-month. Only cancel if you are certain you no longer need the support. If you change your mind, you must reapply from the start.

Can I Reinstate My Cancelled SRD Grant Payment?

Yes. If you are still eligible, you can reinstate your SRD grant. SASSA allows reinstatement for those who need financial support again. Make sure you meet all the eligibility rules, such as being unemployed and not receiving other government aid.
